4-Steps to Terminate your PLDT Line (BONUS: MONEY SAVING TIPS!)

Everyone has their own reasons why they want to terminate their PLDT line. Charges may apply if you didn’t finish your 2-year contract.

If you have completed your 2 –year contract (like in my case), remember that you can terminate your account anytime without paying additional charges. If you have pending bills, you have to settle your account first before PLDT can process the termination.

On this service review blog, I will share the 4- STEPS when terminating your account. PLUS tips on how to avail the most affordable, reliable and the fastest PLDT line available in your area.

Account Termination after Completing Your 2-Year Contract

Step 1: Call PLDT’s hotline 171

Customer service will give you an idea of your pending bills so you can settle your account and proceed with your termination.

Step 2: Prepare a Letter of Termination

The letter must include the following details:

  1. date
  2. account subscriber name,
  3.  account number,
  4. landline number, and
  5.  reason for termination.

Step 3: Go to PLDT office with cash

  1. Search for the nearest PLDT office in your area. The customer service/cashier will give you a computation of your pending bills to settle your account. Make sure you are bringing enough cash so you won’t need to come back in PLDT office.
  2. Don’t forget to bring 1 valid ID.

If you cannot go to the PLDT branch yourself, you can send a representative instead. Your representative should bring the following requirements:

  1.  letter of request,
  2.  your valid I.D.
  3. plus an authorization letter and
  4. your representative’s valid I.D.

Step 4: Wait for 2-3 weeks

Customer Service will give you a call to confirm the termination. They will ask you a few questions if you are sure about the termination.

Expect the Termination to happen  1-3 days after you received the call from PLDT.

If there are more tips or news you want to add for this topic, feel free to share your thoughts on the comments below.

I won’t keep you waiting for the BONUS SMART-MONEY TIP before subscribing to any 2-year internet contract, so read on.

BONUS: What is the most affordable, reliable and the fastest PLDT internet subscription in your area?

After I terminated my PLDT line, I spent time searching for other internet providers. Unfortunately, I was shocked how the price went up after 2 years! I’ve been comparing SUN, SMART, GLOBE and PLDT internet products and I could boldly say that PLDT is the most reliable. Please don’t get me wrong I am talking about a specific product here because some PLDT products, like their DSL get a lot of bad customer feedbacks.

Let me reveal this reliable product I’ve been bragging – PLDT’s Fibr product, costs PHP 1,299 per month, unlimited internet with landline (free PLDT NDD calls nationwide). This is the exact product I’ve been using for more than 2 years and never had I encountered any issues. Fast speed internet and can connect up to 6 gadgets.

This is the most affordable product PLDT has to offer! I purchased this product more than 2 years ago – the reason I decided to terminate is because I’m not using it too often. I don’t want my money being wasted on things I don’t use.

PLDT Fibr Plan 1299 is not advertised on their website so I called their customer service hotline, they confirmed that this product is still available. These are the only FIBR plans on their website quite costly hey.

3- quick steps below to avail this smart-money offer!

1. Check the availability

First thing you need to do to avail this product is to check if PLDT Fibr is available in your area. Go to this link to check

2. Prepare the requirements

You will need the requirements below to process your application.

    1. Application Form
    2. 2 Valid ID
    3. Proof of Billing

3. Go to the nearest PLDT office with your requirements

    1. Give your requirements to the customer service and tell them you are applying for PLDT Fibr Plan 1299
    2. They will give you time and date when the technical team can install PLDT Fibr in your house.

Bear in mind that PLDT Fibr Plan 1299 has a 2-year locked in contract.

Hope I was able to help you with your internet frustrations as I was in the same shoes 2 years ago.

It is usual in a Filipino Family migrating to other countries for a better future.

In our family, on the father side, most of my relatives are now living in USA and Australia. They do visit us here in the Philippines from time to time. So when they do, we sit down and plan our next adventure!

This time, my gorgeous cousin, Hazel from Australia will be spending time with us for like 2 days. First on our list is Sandbox.

What’s interesting about Sandbox?

SandBox at Alviera is a unique getaway for families that redefines outdoor adventure and fun. It features a full stretch of exciting attractions that will surely make everyone appreciate the outdoors. We live in Angeles City Pampanga, 2 hours away from Manila. From Angeles City, we hit the road at around 9:00am. It took us 30 minutes (no traffic) drive to Sandbox. Honestly, we have no idea how to get there,so asking our beloved townspeople is definitely a big help.

Sandbox AlvieraParking is Free.

At the Entrance, you can start selecting your extreme challenge from their list of attractions and packages. It is up to you if you are fearless and extreme at heart to try all the attractions, choose 1 package to save costs. But if you have a huge fear of heights and a cry baby like your blogger right now, I recommend you choose 2-3 attractions. (See the full list of attractions below)  I actually chose the custom picks, I tried the Aerial walk (for me this is the most extreme one! You will definitely reach your limits!) , Rappeling (I thought it was easy but I was wrong) and Wall climbing (I thought it was easy because I already tried it before but again I was wrong).

Sign the waiver to proceed. Keep your tickets because those are required on each attraction.

My tip: Each challenge requires your full strength! After each challenge, you will surely lose a lot of your energy. It is recommended to take 15-25 minutes break after each challenge for you to be ready on your next.

At the Aerial Walk they do not allow cellphones. Staff are taking photos of you so you can check them later and if you like to get a copy of your photos they give it for 250.00 (approximately $5USD) They have a photo booth on each attraction sites so it’s up to you if you want a printed copy of your extremely wacky photo.

It is imperative that you listen carefully to the staff because they will tell you how to use the self-service safety gear. The staff won’t be by your side, it is all up to you once you started. You need to ensure that you lock the harness before you proceed on each rope stage.

Papa on board Going back to KSA
Papa on board
Going back to KSA

Since birth, I was never with my Papa (Father) for more than two months. He’s an Overseas Filipino Worker based in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He usually goes back in the Philippines every after 2 years and stays with us for just  60 days, that’s about 2 months.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

He needed to work far from us to support our education and our basic needs. There are times that he wanted to quit working overseas because of homesick, culture shock and more challenges he has to face everyday  but my mama (mother) always tell him not to.

My Graduation Day, 2012

My Graduation Day, 2012

Going back with every struggle we face to the day me and my brother finished our studies, I saw my papa with a big smile on his face. That’s what he wanted, he even always tell us that education is the only thing that we can inherit from him. I think he is wrong, yes education is important, but that is not the only thing we can inherit from papa. His unconditional love, his sacrifice, his patience, his courage, his strength, an ultimate responsible papa and all his good traits, too many to mention, those are what we learn from him.

Today me and my brother graduated and both of us are working in an international company.  And as I always say, its payback time! My prayer is that papa will stop working overseas, we’re still telling him not to go back. Hopefully this is his last. We are looking forward to be with him not just for 2 months but more than 2 months, more than 5 months, more than 8 months, more than a year and more than decades. Can’t wait for that time to come. Though we always argue when he is here, it’s all good. He is my Papa and I love him the way he is.

Our latest photo, January 2014
Our latest photo, January 2014

Hope you can read this papa. We love you and please take good care of yourself. We may not be there to take care of you but you are in our hearts and prayers. Most of all, remember that God is with you always at the end of age.

For all the children out there, who have the same experience as ours. Those who have parents working overseas, we will never feel the exact pain that they feel every time we say goodbye when they need to go back in other country to work for a living. What we can do is give time talking to them, yes we’re so busy with our lives in our country and sometimes fail to ask them if they are okay. Please, never forget to say Hi and ask them if they are eating 3 times a day, how’s their day, what are they thinking, how’s work or any question that you can ask thinking that they are just near.

Let’s be more patient to them because some  OFW’s are sensitive and sometimes stubborn. My papa is like that but I’m not saying all OFW.

Take an extra mile to show OFW’s how much we love and appreciate what they are doing for us.

How about you, how is your relationship with your Father or Mother who works overseas? What’s in your thoughts now?

Leave your comment below. Would really love to hear from you.

Woman: Noble Character

A woman of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her  and lacks nothing of value.  She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax  and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.  She considers a field and buys it;  out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31:10-31

And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes.  For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do. 1 Timothy 2:9-10

This year 2014, lets focus on what is inside us than what others can see physically. I’m not saying we stop dressing up to look presentable. Its more on being presentable outside assuring that your inside look is presentable as well. Specially when others don’t see what we do. Let’s continue to be honest with ourselves. I think that’s what matters most. Honesty to thyself  and others will help us be the most beautiful human being we can be. All for the glory of our Maker, God.

Brevity of Life

Life expires. That’s a fact that most people never thinks of. Now I realized why we have funeral ceremonies. I think the purpose of that is to be aware and be reminded that human life is short. We don’t even know when our time will be. Like, who’s next? Let me quote one character in the bible named Solomon, this is what he said about death “ .. sadness has a refining influence on us”.  Every time a loved one dies, we fell so much pain, grieving all day, and sadness becomes so strong. When sadness becomes so strong, we tend to realize important things in life, it’s like telling ourselves, “Hey don’t just hear when people say life is short, you have to understand that truth. Life is short, so start doing things that matters most. ” No one knows what will happen tomorrow. Every time I remember that one day we will face our death, I start checking my life. And start asking questions like, “Am I living a meaningful life?” “Am I living a self-centered life”

See Matthew 24

“It’s in the face of death that we make serious and true evaluation of the way our lives have been lived and how differently we want to spend our hours today. It’s the wise who learn from the brevity of life – in the light of the reality and inevitability of death.” – K.T. Sim

So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 Amplified Bible

Devotional: ‘Sowing and Reaping’

"Seeds of Faith"

‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.’ (Hosea 10:12 NLT)

God often takes the blame for things that are not His fault. Though He is all-powerful and may do whatever He desires, much of what He does is His response to our actions. The Bible says – ‘…for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.’ (Gal 6:7 NKJV)

An Open Letter to the Girl I Pretended to Have a Crush On in Eighth Grade at Rottin’ in Denmark

You were the first girl I pretended to have a crush on so no one would know I was gay. I didn’t intend for it to happen, for it to be you, for it to be so easy. But it did, and it was.

From the opening lines of his epic open letter to Tracy Dolan, Michael Hobbes at Rottin’ in Denmark mesmerizes readers with his sharp and thoughtful storytelling, describing his strategy for surviving adolescence as a gay teenager…

Grace, Stay.

One lovely peaceful sunny day, Grace is in her room, kneeled down, seeking God’s face desperately.  For some reasons, she stood up, opened her door, went out and checked her phone. Her mom sent her a message asking if Grace wants to go with her Auntie Cris together with her cousin to watch a movie. Grace loves movies! She wanted to go! But she doesn’t want to rush her devotion time. She sent her Auntie Cris a message saying that she will go. She went back on her room, opened her bible in Matthew 2. “Stay” that one word was so powerful. God spoke! God didn’t want grace to go in the movie house! God doesn’t want Grace to rush and sacrifice her devotion time! Let’s see if Grace obeyed or disobeyed God.

Grace told God, “God, you know I love going in a movie house! God, the class will start 2 days from now. I love to watch a movie and forget all our final requirements before graduation day! God please let me come”. God kept quiet. Grace got the same answer. God wants her to stay. With a disappointed heart, Grace stood up, went out her room, checked her phone and read her mama’s message saying “Grace, don’t come, just stay there and rest”. Grace honored what her mama said. Grace knew that God wanted her to stay. God used her mama to confirm what He wants Grace to do. Finally, Grace obeyed.

Another  message from her mama telling her they will go to salon for a manicure and pedicure! Her mom’s treat! Whoa! Cool for Grace! She loves going to salon more than actually watching a film in a movie house! This is the reward Grace got from obeying God’s command. Instant bonding time with her mama and an instant make-over for her fingers!

See Matt. 2:13, Ephesians 6:1-3, Jeremiah 29:11

If God says, stay, you stay. You must trust God with your all. Though sometimes, you think that what is in front of you now is the best, well you are wrong! God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts! His plans are better that our plans! Grace thought that watching a movie is fun, but God made her realize that being with her mama in a salon is a lot fun! No rush. Just chilling. Relaxing intimately with God. That is how much God loves us. Be sensitive in His voice. God may speak through the Bible, even through your parents, brothers/sisters, through posters, animals, gadgets, television, and even through nature and dreams.
