The Virtuous Woman

Proverbs 31

New Living Translation (NLT)

The Sayings of King Lemuel

31 The sayings of King Lemuel contain this message,[a] which his mother taught him.

O my son, O son of my womb,
O son of my vows,
do not waste your strength on women,
on those who ruin kings.

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, to guzzle wine.
Rulers should not crave alcohol.
For if they drink, they may forget the law
and not give justice to the oppressed.
Alcohol is for the dying,
and wine for those in bitter distress.
Let them drink to forget their poverty
and remember their troubles no more.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
ensure justice for those being crushed.
Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
and see that they get justice.

A Wife of Noble Character

10 [b]Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies.
11 Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

13 She finds wool and flax
and busily spins it.
14 She is like a merchant’s ship,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household
and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.

16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She is energetic and strong,
a hard worker.
18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable;
her lamp burns late into the night.

19 Her hands are busy spinning thread,
her fingers twisting fiber.
20 She extends a helping hand to the poor
and opens her arms to the needy.
21 She has no fear of winter for her household,
for everyone has warm[c] clothes.

22 She makes her own bedspreads.
She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns.
23 Her husband is well known at the city gates,
where he sits with the other civic leaders.
24 She makes belted linen garments
and sashes to sell to the merchants.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
27 She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness.

28 Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her:
29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!”

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Loving Arms

 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.

 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”

Psalm 91

Faithful Promise

Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.

Psalm 1:1-3

Something that we cannot even imagine! Something that is so big that we cannot contain! Something that only God knows. 🙂

On the third Sunday of December, His Life City Church made history. Thousands of people were raising their hands for One God. Thousands of people were jumping for One God. Thousands of people were singing hymns and praises for One God.

One Purpose. One Goal.

To lift up One Name. JESUS.

No other Name.

This year 2012 is just the start of our exceptional harvest! Blessing upon blessings! Breakthroughs upon breakthroughs will take place! Yes, everyone experienced hardships, trials, even persecutions but did you know that your disappointments are God’s appointments in your life! Simply because God is a God of purpose! And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose [Romans 8:28]. God is a God of Intention. God’s purpose is Unstoppable! God’s purpose is Unshakeable! You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail [Proverbs 19:21]. You are better of in God’s plan than in your own plan.

God’s purpose is not just local its global! For those who already have passport, good for you. For those who believe that God will send you around the globe and doesn’t have a passport yet, what are you waiting for? Take a step of faith! Get your passport now! Yes! Now! God is able to send you to places you’ve never been before. Why? To preach the Good News. To win souls. That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him [1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT].

People will be more hunger with the Gospel. It’s going to be massive! Rapid! Fast! Great in magnitude! The smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation. At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen [Isaiah 60:22 NLT]. Millions of young people will know God. Massive Campus Harvest!

Philippines will experience continuous economic breakthrough!

How is this going to happen? Just BELIEVE.

BE READY FOR 2013. 🙂

The Year of the Lord’s Favor

61 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,

because the Lord has anointed me

to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim freedom for the captives

and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]

2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor

and the day of vengeance of our God,

to comfort all who mourn,

3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—

to bestow on them a crown of beauty

instead of ashes,

the oil of joy

instead of mourning,

and a garment of praise

instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness,

a planting of the Lord

for the display of his splendor.

4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins

and restore the places long devastated;

they will renew the ruined cities

that have been devastated for generations.

5 Strangers will shepherd your flocks;

foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.

6 And you will be called priests of the Lord,

you will be named ministers of our God.

You will feed on the wealth of nations,

and in their riches you will boast.

7 Instead of your shame

you will receive a double portion,

and instead of disgrace

you will rejoice in your inheritance.

And so you will inherit a double portion in your land,

and everlasting joy will be yours.

8 “For I, the Lord, love justice;

I hate robbery and wrongdoing.

In my faithfulness I will reward my people

and make an everlasting covenant with them.

9 Their descendants will be known among the nations

and their offspring among the peoples.

All who see them will acknowledge

that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”

10 I delight greatly in the Lord;

my soul rejoices in my God.

For he has clothed me with garments of salvation

and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,

as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,

and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up

and a garden causes seeds to grow,

so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness

and praise spring up before all nations.

Isaiah 61
