What will you feel if a company is requesting you to give them a copy of your work? That’s a WOW! Let me tell you what. Surprisingly, this afternoon, someone asked me if I can give them a copy of a graphic design I made.
So here’s the story why I made that design. Someone special asked me to make a design for his super cute and sweet niece, who just turned 3 years old this year. It’s actually a tarpaulin design. And I was like, hey! are you sure you want me to do this? Do you really trust me that much? I think, this guy knows me better than I know myself. Maybe. In some cases.
This special someone is my suitor right now, and I told him that he cannot read this post this year. I’m actually testing his patience. Let’s see what will happen. So my deal is this. If he will read this post this year, it’s a “NO”. But if he will not, and if he is patient enough to wait until next year, it’s a “BIG YES”. True love waits. Agree? =)
And if he passed.
I’m giving him my permission to read these verses.
“I have found the one my soul loves”
Song of Solomon 3:4 New International Version (NIV)
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
Genesis 2:18 New International Version (NIV)
“Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:”
Ecclesiastes 4:9 New International Version (NIV)
Alright. Going back. With all his encouraging words and persuasion (haha! PEACE yo) I decided to do it. So there you go, I designed a birthday tarpaulin for his super cute and sweet niece.
Here’s the catch! Before I sit down in front of COOLee (my laptop), I patiently ask for wisdom. Wisdom from above, wisdom that will make the design/project possible. Actually, I’m a “not so good” graphic designer. But every time I sit down and open Adobe Photoshop, my hands are dancing, they want to explore the world of graphic designing! So it’s really pure grace every time I finish a project/design. In His Life City Church (where I attend) we have a Kidz Life, it’s a church for kids. Unexpectedly, I became the head of Kidz Life Media Ministry. One of the roles of the ministry is to produce graphic designs for tarpaulins, giveaways and posters. Again, surprisingly, I was given a chance to make a graphic artwork. And they liked it! All glory to God. =)
About the tarpaulin for his super cute and sweet niece, he told me that his relatives liked it too! I’m just speechless. It’s God. God’s work. God’s grace.
Wow, I just can’t imagine how God works! He is working beyond what we think! Beyond what we can imagine! He just loves to surprise us every hour! And I realize that it’s God’s habit to make us smile. Because we are His beloveds.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9
