Whoosh! – Screen cleaner for Macbook

My MacBook Air is not just a tool for me to get the job done for THE MARKETING ARROWS. It is an investment, more likely a business partner I guess, that’s how important it is to me. That’s why I make sure it is always on its best condition.

So I used this usual lens cleaner and maaaaan! My screen didn’t look good! So here I am, searching for the right screen cleaner for my MacBook. My instinct was to check the Mac – Apple store first and yes they have what I was looking for!

Its called Whoosh! and it costs PHP790, that’s approximately $15 USD.

4-Steps to Terminate your PLDT Line (BONUS: MONEY SAVING TIPS!)

Everyone has their own reasons why they want to terminate their PLDT line. Charges may apply if you didn’t finish your 2-year contract.

If you have completed your 2 –year contract (like in my case), remember that you can terminate your account anytime without paying additional charges. If you have pending bills, you have to settle your account first before PLDT can process the termination.

On this service review blog, I will share the 4- STEPS when terminating your account. PLUS tips on how to avail the most affordable, reliable and the fastest PLDT line available in your area.

Account Termination after Completing Your 2-Year Contract

Step 1: Call PLDT’s hotline 171

Customer service will give you an idea of your pending bills so you can settle your account and proceed with your termination.

Step 2: Prepare a Letter of Termination

The letter must include the following details:

  1. date
  2. account subscriber name,
  3.  account number,
  4. landline number, and
  5.  reason for termination.

Step 3: Go to PLDT office with cash

  1. Search for the nearest PLDT office in your area. The customer service/cashier will give you a computation of your pending bills to settle your account. Make sure you are bringing enough cash so you won’t need to come back in PLDT office.
  2. Don’t forget to bring 1 valid ID.

If you cannot go to the PLDT branch yourself, you can send a representative instead. Your representative should bring the following requirements:

  1.  letter of request,
  2.  your valid I.D.
  3. plus an authorization letter and
  4. your representative’s valid I.D.

Step 4: Wait for 2-3 weeks

Customer Service will give you a call to confirm the termination. They will ask you a few questions if you are sure about the termination.

Expect the Termination to happen  1-3 days after you received the call from PLDT.

After I terminated my PLDT line, I spent time searching for other internet providers. Unfortunately, I was shocked how the price went up after 2 years! I’ve been comparing SUN, SMART, GLOBE and PLDT internet products and I could boldly say that PLDT is the most reliable. Please don’t get me wrong I am talking about a specific product here because some PLDT products, like their DSL get a lot of bad customer feedbacks.

This is the exact product I’ve been using for more than 2 years and never had I encountered any issues. Fast speed internet and can connect up to 6 gadgets.

This is the most affordable product PLDT has to offer! I purchased this product more than 2 years ago – the reason I decided to terminate is because I’m not using it too often. I don’t want my money being wasted on things I don’t use.

PLDT Fibr Plan 1299 is not advertised on their website so I called their customer service hotline, they confirmed that this product is still available. These are the only FIBR plans on their website http://pldthome.com/fibr quite costly hey.

1. Check the availability

First thing you need to do to avail this product is to check if PLDT Fibr is available in your area. Go to this link to check https://shop.pldthome.com/Home/AreaCoverage?planId=1569

2. Prepare the requirements

You will need the requirements below to process your application.

    1. Application Form
    2. 2 Valid ID
    3. Proof of Billing

3. Go to the nearest PLDT office with your requirements

    1. Give your requirements to the customer service and tell them you are applying for PLDT Fibr Plan 1299
    2. They will give you time and date when the technical team can install PLDT Fibr in your house.

Bear in mind that PLDT Fibr Plan 1299 has a 2-year locked in contract.

“MACHINE UNAVAILABLE” popped when card was removed after I deposit cash at BPI ATM Machine!

Hey guys! I’ve been a loyal BPI Account holder for years and it’s my first time to experience this inconvenience. BPI for me has the best customer service when it comes to face-to-face conversations. They are just a bit slack and probably not yet too organised with regards to their online customer support.

Read till the end of this article so you know how to handle this kind of frustration because of a sudden inconvenience.

My experience

I deposit this certain amount using the Deposit ATM Machine. After my transaction, the machine removed my card along with the notice on the screen MACHINE UNAVAILABLE! I waited for a minute to check if the machine will get my cash out of the machine, but it didn’t so I left.

At home, using the BPI App, I quickly checked if the cash I deposit came through my account, as we all know BPI does real-time account updates. To my surprise, the money I deposit didn’t came through! I called my cousin Sai who’s familiar with these instances so she advised me to report it ASAP. Which I did!

2 Failed Attempts

First, I tried to call their hotline (number provided below) but I was waiting for an agent to pick up my call yet  nobody’s picking up! So I just ended up leaving a message and asked them to call me back on my mobile number. Next day, no call from BPI.

Secondly, I sent a complaint email to expressonline@bpi.com.ph The Customer service was able to respond promptly via email and promised that a customer service agent will call me. Still, no call from BPI.

How to resolve this?

Here’s the big question, “What exactly you MUST do and How can you reach BPI Customer Service via phone call to get this sorted out ASAP?”

I won’t keep you waiting, read the quick steps below to get your money to your account ASAP.

Step 1: Do NOT leave the machine and get the 4-digits Terminal ID

The 4-digits Terminal ID is required to process your complaint and get your money to your account.

You can get the Terminal ID in two ways:

  1. The Terminal ID can be found in the deposit Machine where you did your transaction, look at the top of the screen that reads TID XXXX (4-digit numbers). Save the 4-digit Terminal ID on your phone or write it on a piece of paper. The customer service will need the 4-digits from you to process your complaint.
  2. INQUIRE BALANCE in the deposit Machine where you did your transaction and PRINT THE RECEIPT. On your receipt, find the LOCATION, below it, you will find 9000XXXX (4-digit numbers). Keep the receipt on your wallet and get it ready when the customer service asks for the 4-digits Terminal ID.

 

Step 2: Remember the Time, Date, and BPI Branch

Take note what time, date and branch where you did your transaction. These information will be asked by the customer service agent to help you resolve this case.

 

Step 3: Call BPI Customer Service

Get your landline phone and contact BPI’s 24/7 customer service hotline. Just be patient waiting for a customer service agent to pick up your call. It took me 20 minutes. Yeah frustrating hey!

Get your Account number ready. The customer service agent will also ask you a few questions to verify that it is your account.

  1. For provincial PLDT subscribers dial 1-800-188-89100 (toll-free calls)
  2. 89-100 for Metro Manila

The customer service agent will tell you that they will investigate your complaint and you have to wait 3 banking days to get this resolved.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to save the REFERENCE NUMBER provided by your agent. If this is not provided, you need to ask for it, remind the agent. You will need the Reference number in step 4.

Step 4: Follow Up

Call the hotline provided in Step 3 to follow up your case, get your reference number ready and tell it to the customer service agent.

I suggest calling BPI Customer Service everyday to speed it up.

Step 5: Check your account

After 3 banking days check your account if the cash you deposit came through. If your money didn’t appear on your account yet, repeat Step 4.

My brother will go for a 42k run the next day so he’s on for a “carbo loading”. As her obedient little sis, it’s my duty to go with him (which I love because this means …   free dinner! haha)

They have my favorite room theme! Shabby Chic details!  Also felt I was in Santorini because of the  white walls and artificial white flowers hanged on top of the windows.

Pasta

  • Jackie Chan Pasta at P199.00

I’m not a fan of pasta’s until I tried this one! Tasty and I love the idea of putting shiitake mushrooms.

Quesadilla

  • Smoked Salmon Cheese Quesadilla at P199.00

Not your ordinary thin crust quesadilla. They serve 5 variations of Quesadilla, so we picked the smoked salmon that compliments with the cheese and perfect for a quick dip to their salsa.

Cakes

  • Red Velvet with Chocolate Ganache Torte at P99.00

We tried their sophisticated Red Velvet Cake. The first bite amazed my sweeth tooth, perfect after  a tasty meal. After 2 or more bites it turns out to be too sweet because the layers of the bread and cream are the equal. Cakes I admire are those that are not too sweet , just the right combination of bread and cream (self- confessed cake addict here and a frustrated patisserie). So if they will just  reduce the cream on their red velvet cake, more cake lovers will go back for more!

They forgot the salsa and mayo on our Smoked Salmon Quesadilla. A bit disappointed because I personally love their salsa ! Too bad I wasn’t able to check it first before we leave. So yes, please do check your take out bags just to make sure your salsa or anything alike are present on your take-out bag .

Customer Service

The crew noticed my water is empty so without asking he refilled it. They also noticed our table ran out of tissue so they gave us another batch too. Small things affect the customers big time. Tissue and water are essentials for a best dining experience !
